Farmer for a Day Experience
What to Expect
Have you ever dreamed about experiencing life on a working, small, family farm? Maybe you are looking to get closer to nature, get away from the pressures of work, dig in the garden or hang out with the critters. Well, if you choose this special, individualized event you can experience all of that and more! The farm is alive and every day is a new adventure. You will work alongside Farmer Mike as we care for the alpacas, chickens and Becky our LGD (livestock guard dog). You will do some chores in the garden and green house, and go home with a selection of fresh goodies you picked. We also have lots of open space to explore. You can walk our trails, sit on the edge of the woods, fish in the pond or just enjoy the sunshine, fresh air and tranquility of nature. This special experience will last about 4 hours, however you are welcome to just spend some time after “the work” to relax and enjoy the farm. We love our farm and can’t wait to share it with you! ● 4-hour experience - $200 for up to two adults. ● Experiences must be booked 72 hours or more in advance. ● Contact us to discuss customized Farmer for a Day experiences. FAQ: ● What should I wear to my Farmer for a Day experience? - We require closed-toe shoes and highly recommend clothes/shoes you don't mind getting dirty. Some areas may be muddy. ● Can I bring snacks, drinks, etc.? - No outside food or drinks will be allowed on tours. ● Can I bring a stroller? - Due to the nature of the farm, strollers are not recommended. If you have special mobility needs, please give us a call prior to booking so we can make sure we can accommodate you. ● Am I allowed to bring my dog or other pets? - The ONLY outside animals allowed are service animals. Otherwise outside pets will not be allowed, and they cannot be left in your vehicle. If you have a service animal, please give us a call when you book your tour to give us a heads up. ● Where should I park? - Please park in the designated area when you arrive. And most importantly, be prepared to HAVE FUN!
Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule, please give us a call at 615-306-3569. Should inclement weather arise on the day of your tour, we will communicate with you to reschedule your tour.
